If your dad is more of the outdoorsy type then we have to recommend taking the day to wander through Claireville Conservation Area. This is an expansive piece of land that hosts some wonderful sites, running through wetlands, valleys, forests, grasslands & the west branch of the Humber River. This is a great escape that isn’t too physically demanding but provides some incredible views. Or, if you’re looking to do something a little more intense, we highly recommend biking through the trails at Rowntree Mills Park. This is a well-maintained park that provides courses ranging from leisure-biking to dirt-biking trails.
Vaughan Grove Park
If you’re looking for something to entertain the whole family, this is the spot. Vaughan Grove Sports Park is the perfect opportunity to go out and enjoy your time as a family with dad. With everything from soccer fields, to baseball diamonds, and big swaths of open field, you’re sure to have a great time out in the sun. We suggest making a whole day of it by packing a picnic lunch, sports equipment, and some sunscreen!
